Guidance on using the app, reporting problems, and getting support
Use the New Report section in the sidebar to open any form. Fields marked with a red * are required. Once submitted, the record appears instantly on the Dashboard and in All Records.
Finding a past record
Go to All Records in the sidebar. Use the search bar to find records by name, location, file number, or event number. Use the filter buttons to narrow by form type.
Digitizing a paper form
Go to Digitize Form in the sidebar. Take a clear photo of a completed paper form and upload it. The app will read the handwriting and pre-fill the digital form — review the fields before submitting.
Capturing GPS on a fire report
On the Fire Report form, tap Capture location under the GPS field. Your browser will ask for permission — allow it. Coordinates fill in automatically. Works best outdoors with a clear sky view.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my records be saved if I close the browser?
Yes — records are saved locally in your browser. As long as you use the same device and browser, they will still be there. If the app is connected to Supabase, records are also saved online and accessible from any device.
Can I use this app on my phone?
Yes. Open the app URL in Chrome or Safari on your phone. For the best experience use landscape mode for longer forms. You can also add the page to your home screen — tap the Share button in Safari or the menu in Chrome and choose Add to Home Screen.
What if I made a mistake on a submitted form?
Open the record from All Records, note the file number, and contact your supervisor or system administrator to request a correction — include the file number and the field that needs updating.
The GPS button isn't working
Make sure your browser has permission to access location. In Chrome, click the lock icon in the address bar and set Location to Allow. On a phone, check Settings → Browser → Location. GPS also requires being outdoors or near a window.
The AI didn't read my paper form correctly
Retake the photo with better lighting and hold the camera directly above the form. Make sure the whole form fits in frame. All extracted fields are editable — correct any errors before clicking Open in Form.
